Generations Community Health Workers will assist you with applying for the state funded HUSKY Health program. (HUSKY Health is the State of Connecticut’s public health coverage program for eligible children, parents, relative caregivers, senior citizens, individuals with disabilities, adults without children, and pregnant women.) Children up to age 19 may qualify regardless of family income level. The Care Coordinators will work with each individual and family to determine which program is a good fit and help to complete the application. They can also grant immediate HUSKY insurance coverage for eligible children, pregnant women and for the HUSKY Limited Family Planning benefits, on behalf of the Department of Social Services.
