About This Clinic
Services are designed to meet the needs of the most vulnerable and under-served and to address the major health problems of the rural county, which exceeds state averages for mortality from trauma, drug overdose, suicide, and cancer.
MMO holds preventive dental Clinics on a rotating schedule at local family shelters and other clinic sites with high rates of childhood caries.
Services include:
- oral health screening,
- education,
- application of fluoridevarnish (a topical treatment which prevents cavities),
- distribution of oral hygiene supplies and xylitol gum.
