Inner City Health Center has been providing quality comprehensive medical and dental care as well as individual and family counseling to the uninsured for almost three decades. Founded in 1983, the Center has expanded from a small neighborhood clinic serving individuals and families in Five Points, one of Colorado's poorest neighborhoods, to an award-winning community health care center with more than 46% of its patients coming from outside the city and county of Denver, including patients from Arapahoe, Jefferson, and Adams Counties.
Over the years, Inner City Health Center has been fortunate enough to realize a number of accomplishments. The most recent success story is the building of our new clinical home that is twice the size of its predecessor and offers space for substantial future growth and development. The Center has also earned significant recognition and honors including El Pomar Foundation 2007 Awards for Excellence and being named the 2006 Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce Nonprofit of the Year. Also in 2006, the Center was named a Champion of the Community by the Denver Broncos Charities Fund.
Inner City Health Center is firmly convinced that insuring access to health care is an essential step toward making a difference in the lives of the people. By providing quality health care to individuals, we believe we help strengthen families, protect individual self-respect, and provide a needed service in helping our communities develop.
