Connecticut Institute for Communities

About This Clinic

Connecticut Institute For Communities, Inc. is a not-for-profit, community development corporation that was founded out of a commitment to help meet basic human needs in the fields of health, education, human services and housing for disadvantaged children, families and adults in our service area. It is the only organization in Western Connecticut that combines health care, education, human services and housing in a coordinated approach.
CIFC works to strengthen families, and build communities that support the healthy development, academic achievement and social well being of our area residents. As you navigate through our site, you will find countless opportunities to make a difference in the lives of children and families.
All children enrolled in Head Start of Northern Fairfield County receive health, vision and hearing screenings. Dental screenings are provided by the Danbury Public Schools Community Oral health Initiative. Each child's health, dental and nutritional records are reviewed to ensure that all health needs are being met. Individual health plans are developed for children with medical conditions or restrictions.
