Insurance & Sliding Fees
Billings and Payments
At InterCare, we understand that the costs of care can be a burden to our patients. Be assured that as an organization that receives federal grant money to assist patients with their health care costs, we are willing and able to work with you to make sure that you are able to get your care needs met. InterCare will not deny service based on ability to pay.
In order to keep our billing costs as low as possible, InterCare offers a 20% discount for paying your portion at time of service.  However, If you are unable to pay your portion in full,  InterCare has Patient Financial Specialists at each of our health centers who can assist you with understanding your charges, applying for discounts and setting up payment arrangements that will work with your budget.
Insurance
InterCare accepts Medicaid, Medicare and most other public and private insurance plans and will bill your insurance as a courtesy to you.  Please bring current insurance information with you when you check in for your visits. We will make every effort to keep you informed about what your insurance will pay and what they determine you are responsible for.
Sliding Fee Program
InterCare Community Health Network offers fee adjustments which help reduce your health care costs.  This is made possible by a federal grant and is based on income and family size.  Applying for the program takes only a few minutes and involves giving us additional information about your family size and income.  All information is kept confidential just like your medical record. The amount of the sliding fee depends on the type of service provided and what your income is from zero to 200% of the Federal Poverty Level.
InterCare will not discriminate against patients based on race, age, national origin, sex (including gender identity, sexual orientation, and pregnancy), religion, disability, or genetic information.  InterCare will provide access to care regardless of ability to pay.
